I qualified MB ChB at Edinburgh University in 1982. Most of my post-graduate training was undertaken in Manchester where I studied the value of neuropsychological assessment and SPECT imaging in patients with dementia for an MD thesis.
I was appointed consultant neurologist for the Leeds Teaching Hospitals in 1994 where as well as working as a general neurologist I have developed a state of the art epilepsy service. I run clinics for patients with first seizures, difficult epilepsy, adolescents, patients planning pregnancy and contemplating surgical treatment.
