About me

Dr Sado is a Cardiology Consultant and the clinical and academic lead of the cardiac MRI service at King's College Hospital. As well as general Cardiology, he has particular interests in heart failure, heart imaging and inherited heart diseases.

He has won international, national and regional prizes for his research and published over 80 articles in the peer reviewed medical literature. His work spans fields including cardiac MRI, heart failure, hypertension, inherited heart disease, iron overloading and resuscitation.

Dr Sado has a strong involvement in medical education, both as a teacher and a developer of learning events. He was the first chair of the British Society of Cardiovascular magnetic resonance training committee and is the South London cardiac imaging subspecialty lead. He provides heart failure, general cardiology, inerited heart disease and cardiac MRI training to Consultants, junior doctors, students and allied health professionals. He has formal medical education qualifications and has won awards for his teaching.

Some of the important values his work with patients, research volunteers and colleagues are based on are integrity, honesty, openness, empathy and understanding. Using these and other skills, his overall aim is to strive to provide the highest possible quality of clinical care, research, teaching, leadership and management in healthcare.
