About me

Professor Simon Barton has been a Consultant since 1990, and was Clinical Director of largest Sexual Health and HIV unit from 1996 to 2014.

He is now the Divisional Medical Director for Womens Childrens , HIV , Sexual Health and Dermatology Care at Chelsea and Westminster, as well as Adjunct Professor at Imperial College, with over 150 peer reviewed publications and 5 books.

Professor Barton held the position of President of British Association for Sexual Health and HIV from 2006-2008 and was awared the IUSTI order of Merit in 2010.

Areas of interest

Herpes simplex virus therapies and vaccine research. Strategies to prevent recurrent GU conditions eg recurrent candida, BV and HPV.
