About me

Dr Tatham is an ophthalmic surgeon specialising in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and European Board of Ophthalmologists. He was awarded the prize for the highest score in Europe in his board examinations.

Dr Tatham completed specialist training at two world leading centres - Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and Shiley Eye Center, University California, San Diego, USA.

He specialises in 'drop-free' glaucoma treatments including laser surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and was the first to perform MIGS in Scotland – including the iStent, Xen and MicroShunt.

Dr Tatham is an NHS Scotland Research Clinician, a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Scientific Committee and editor of the Royal College of Ophthalmology Focus series. He has authored over 70 publications and is regularly invited to speak and teach eye doctors internationally.
