This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

Dr Tatham is an ophthalmic surgeon specialising in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and European Board of Ophthalmologists. He was awarded the prize for the highest score in Europe in his board examinations.
Dr Tatham completed specialist training at two world leading centres - Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and Shiley Eye Center, University California, San Diego, USA.
He specialises in 'drop-free' glaucoma treatments including laser surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and was the first to perform MIGS in Scotland – including the iStent, Xen and Cypass.
Dr Tatham is an NHS Scotland Research Clinician, a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Scientific Committee and editor of the Royal College of Ophthalmology Focus series. He has authored over 70 publications and is regularly invited to speak and teach eye doctors internationally.

Dr Tatham has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and has been an invited speaker at meetings including Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, European Glaucoma Society and the International Glaucoma Association. He has been a faculty member for the World Glaucoma Congress and Chinese Ophthalmological Society.
He is a module lead for the University of Edinburgh Primary Care Ophthalmology MSc and an examiner for the European Board of Ophthalmologists.
In his spare time Dr Tatham volunteers as a classifier for the British Paralympic Association
