Mr Siddiqui qualified from St Bartholomew’s Medical School in 1999. He stayed in the London region for general surgical training then proceeded to Specialist Orthopaedic training, working at several hospitals including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore; Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead; and the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel. He developed further sub-specialty skills and experience in all aspects of Upper Limb Surgery during three specialist fellowships; one year at the world-renowned Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Unit in Australia and a further year at two leading upper limb specialty units in the UK - Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol and University Hospital Coventry.

Mr Siddiqui has a wide variety of research interests.
He is a USER panel reviewer for Arthritis Research UK assessing research grant proposals.
He was a reviewer for the EFORT European Congress 2014.
He is reviewer for the Bone and Joint Journal (previously JBJS (Br)), the Open Orthopaedics Journal, and the International Journal of Rheumatology, and is also a reviewer for the BMA Book Awards.
Mr Siddiqui is married to Louise, a local GP, and has a baby which takes up most of his time. He also enjoys photography and travelling.
Mr Siddiqui was awarded the prestigious Watanabe Travelling Fellowship, visiting several centres of surgical excellence around the UK specialising in shoulder and elbow surgery.
