About me

Counselling is a therapeutic process where verbal communication is the tool to understanding difficulties. It is very different from social interaction, advice or suggestion.

Sometimes life events can overwhelm us and we can feel stuck and unable to find a way forward.
At other times we just need someone who will really listen to us and treat us with respect. These are the times that talking to a professional can be helpful.

It takes great courage to ask for help. The therapeutic relationship is different from other relationships because it is all about you.
I am pleased that you are considering whether counselling could help you. It is vital that a trusting relationship is built up, which is supportive and non-judgmental.

My hope in facilitating this process, is to empower you with confidence building and to help you find resources within yourself.
