About me

You may have been drawn to counselling for one of many reasons, perhaps depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, bereavement or relationship/work troubles. I understand how it feels when you hit a stumbling block in your life, when things feel overwhelming and you feel that you are alone or have nowhere to turn to. The feeling of being troubled, where no-one else seems to understand, is something I am very familiar with and have worked with many clients who have had similar experiences when life has seemed a struggle.

Sometimes your problems stem from something historic that feels like it has been with you forever. Other times, things feel fresh and raw, particularly relationships breaking down, loss or social and work changes. Now and then it's not quite as simple - general anxiety and depression can appear without apparent reason. Whichever it is, I can provide you with the counselling you need so you no longer feel so alone and you're able to process what is happening for you, where you'll learn how to manage the things that are hurting or troubling you. I offer a safe environment, providing a warm and friendly 'sanctuary' where you will have the space and time to process your thoughts and feelings. You'll be able to off-load without fear of judgement and instead, find acceptance and empathy.

As a client, you are unique, as are the problems and feelings that bring you to Counselling. I utilise all my training to provide an approach that means you are able to manage your progress in the way you want to, at the pace you are at ease with.
