Mr Cohen lectures and teaches on a number of meetings and courses nationally and has been awarded a Diploma in Clinical Education from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Mr Cohen provides a patient centred Hip and Knee Arthroplasty service at the BMI Highfield Hospital, Rochdale. This includes complex primary hip and knee replacements for arthritis, developmental hip dysplasia and avascular necrosis, and revision surgery for infection, aseptic loosening and instability. Mr Cohen also runs an NHS consultant led adult and paediatric Trauma Service at the Trauma Unit at The Royal Oldham Hospital, which includes the management of periprosthetic and articular fractures of the lower limb. With a Diploma in Clinical Education, Mr Cohen has been actively involved in surgical training at all levels both locally and nationally. This includes his current roles as Clinical Supervisor to Core Surgical Trainees at The Royal Oldham Hospital and to Final Year Medical Students from the University of Manchester, and as Clinical Lecturer for the Foundation Year Doctors at Pennine Acute NHS Trust.

My wife and three children occupy most of my spare time. I've been fortunate to travel Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and South America, obtaining PADI certification in Advanced & Adventure Diving.
I'm a fair weather golfer and having captained my university and school Table Tennis first teams, I now teach my children, which is extremely satisfying. My most recent discovery is skiing, which admittedly is 30 years too late, but never the less, I thoroughly enjoy the challenges it poses.
