About me

I am a mother and grandmother and have a background in teaching - from preschool through to adult male offenders. I worked for 16 years as a psychotherapeutic counsellor with adolescents and adults in Primary Care gaining experience in a wide range of presenting problems.
Since the introduction of GP commissioning I have been working in private practice. I am founder of the Counsellors' Collective South West and have a commitment to providing the very best possible therapy in the community and encouraging new entrants to the profession through a Trainee Placement Scheme, where we select the very best trainees and place and support them in GP surgeries.

Areas of interest

I have a particular interest in issues of adoption. I am an Approved Counsellor for Adoption with Barnardo's and have worked with both adoptive families and adopted people for several years. I have also worked for the Diocese of Bath and Wells, providing therapeutic support to clergy and their families.Since moving I am now on the register for the Exeter Diocese.
