About me

I trained in Dundee, Bristol & Toronto and have been a consultant for 26 years in Glasgow, Scotland. I co-founded the Scottish Sinus Surgery course. I organised the Scottish national tonsil audit. I am a past chair of the Intercollegiate FRCS Examination in Otolaryngology. I am the current ENT UK president with emphasis on departmental standards, consultant education, and how to keep “consultants emergency safe”. I have authored 6 textbooks, 5 book chapters and 48 peer reviewed publications.
