About me

Mr Moir has been carrying out elective Foot & Ankle Surgery almost exclusively since coming to Glasgow in 1998, although he still takes part in the trauma rota at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

The last decade has seen a remarkable increase in interest in Foot & Ankle surgery, with the development of new techniques and specialised instrumentation allowing more successful treatment of challenging conditions such as arthritis and deformity of the ankle, hindfoot and forefoot.

However, the results of foot surgery are still less predictable than in other areas of Orthopaedic practice and conservative management should always be considered initially. For this reason he works closely with an experienced Podiatrist to provide an integrated service.
