About me

Sarah Qualified as an Occupational Therapist in New Zealand in 2000. Since then she has worked in health settings in New Zealand and across both health and social care in the UK.

Working in the community for social care has enabled Sarah to become competent and confident practitioner. She has primarily worked for social care since 2004. She has excellent knowledge of equipment, including complex moving and handling equipment and specialist seating needs. She also is very experienced in recommending adaptations to enable independent living and full access within a home.

Sarah has worked with clients who have many different conditions and this has given her exceptional experience to identify a person’s needs and make appropriate recommendations. She has a special interest in working with people who have neurological conditions, particularly spinal injury. Sarah also works with family and carers and identifies what their needs may be to continue providing care to a person.

As a senior OT in Bristol, Sarah proved that she was very organised and experienced. She supervised a team of OTs and OTA’s and assisted in the development of their skills. She also assisted in the development of the OT service.

Sarah is also certified as a people handling and risk assessment key trainer.

Sarah moved to London in 2010 and began to Locum for local authorities, while also setting up her own independent practice.

Sarah is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council, is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists and The College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section – Independent Practitioners. She is proactive at continuing with her professional development which includes attending training to develop skills.
Sarah is a private Occupational Therapist covering London, South East and Kent areas.
