About me

Dr. Ponnusamy qualified in 1998. He has been trained to very high standards both overseas and in the UK in Anaesthetics, Intensive Care and Chronic Pain Management.

He underwent advanced training in Pain Management at St.Thomas Hospital, London and St.George’s Hospital, London. He was appointed as Consultant in Pain medicine, Anaesthetics and Intensive Care at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury in October 2013. He also practices pain management at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford.

Dr. Ponnusamy has been trained in many advanced and complex interventional pain procedures. He is also trained in the use of ultrasound in anaesthesia and pain management. Dr. Ponnusamy believes in a holistic approach to pain management that not only includes injections but also the use of medications, psychological therapies and physical therapies.
