About me

Dr Rebecca Kristeleit is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. She specialises in the systemic treatment (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, endocrine therapy) of gynaecological cancers and experimental therapeutics (drug development):

Ovarian Cancer
Endometrial Cancer
Cervical Cancer
Vulval Cancer
Vaginal Cancer

She also has a specialist interest in drug development and is an international leader in clinical trials of novel agents relevant to gynecological malignancies including PARP inhibitors.

Rebecca qualified in medicine from St Andrew’s and Manchester Universities including eight months at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) on an Erasmus scholarship. Following general medical training in London, Rebecca undertook her medical oncology training at The Royal Marsden Hospital and a CRUK-funded research fellowship at the Institute of Cancer Research. Subsequently, Rebecca spent a year as a senior research fellow on the Drug Development Unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital gaining specialist experience in the design and conduct of early phase clinical trials and translational medicine. She was Associate Professor of Experimental Therapeutics at UCL before moving to Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in 2020 to lead clinical research development for gynae-oncology at GSTT and continues drug development as part of the GSTT Clinical Research Facility Team. She is also an elected member of ESMO Faculty for gynae-oncology and a member of the Government's Oncology and Haematology Expert Advisory Group. She is a past Chair of the ASCO gynaecology scientific programme committee, BGCS scientific programme committee and the gynaecology track of the UK Oncology Forum. She has published extensively and speaks regularly at International Conferences.
