About me

Dr Michael Burdon is a Consultant in Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal medicine. As a previous GP who re-specialised, he has an extensive background in primary care. Dr Burdon has previously worked for BUPA at its BUPA centre in Reading.

He worked as Head of sports medicine for Pure Sports for 3 years and currently acts as Responsible officer linked to the GMC- ensuring best medical practice from all of the Pure doctors.

D Burdon works across 3 clinics in London providing specialist sports medicine and musculoskeletal services to patient. Dr Burdon is passionate in treating all patients- with most injuries not being sports related at all but due to everyday life!
He is also as passionate in promoting exercise as medicine and encouraging all to be as active as possible. Dr Burdon regularly contributes to national publications including the Times as a health expert.
Dr Burdon is a keen runner having completed several marathons and an ultramarathon.

Dr Burdon specialises in using non-surgical techniques to rehabilitate patients from injury. He believes that exercise and physical activity is the best form of rehabilitation. In his consultation, he is able to assess your injury or illness and provide an accurate diagnosis. He is able to perform an ultrasound scan in the consultation and is able to arrange other imaging such as MRI, CT scan, X ray if required.
