- Vascular surgery
I have over 20 years experience as a Consultant General and Vascular Surgeon based in a busy general hospital. I trained at University College London, included a BSc in immunology and pharmacology. Qualifying in 1979 I completed my training as a General Surgeon with posts around North London, becoming a Consultant General Surgeon with a vascular interest in 1994.
Since 2016 I have been working half time at UCLH as a Vascular Surgeon principally but continue to see general surgical patients.
Currently I see patients with varicose veins, peripheral vascular disease, carotid surgery for stroke prevention and undertake general surgical procedures such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs and lumps and bumps.

My research was into vascular materials, and the Master of Surgery Degree was awarded for the biennial Roger's Prize by the University of London.
I have three sons, have a hallmark, continue to use film for photography and take an interest in the development of work carried out by the NGO TEARFund in Haiti and other parts of the world.
