Ajitha graduated from St.George's Hospital Medical School, London in 1997. Having worked throughout London and the South East, she completed her specialist training in the West Midlands in 2009.
She undertook research in asthma and allergy at the MRC Centre of Asthma and Allergy at Guy's Hospital under the supervision of Professor Chris Corrigan and was awarded an MD from the University of London in 2009.
She was appointed as Consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine at King George Hospital, Ilford and Queens Hospital, Romford in 2009, where she has been lead for tuberculosis since her appointment.
Ajitha has wide-ranging experience in asthma, allergy, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cough, tuberculosis and interstitial lung disease.
