About me

I have more than 15 years experience in the psychological assessment and treatment of young children, adolescents and adults.

For children and adults I conduct a psychological assessment that can include the following areas:
• Emotional, cognitive and behavioural development
• Risk of harm to others and risk of harm to self
• Analysis of any offending behaviour
• Relationships
• Attachment
• Strengths / resilience, coping methods
• Personality
• Mental health
• Capacity to understand the concerns of others, achieve change and work with professionals
• A parent’s capacity to understand and meet the needs of their children

I am experienced in assessing and providing psychological therapy for:
• Child mental health: (such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and the impact of abuse / neglect, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, conduct problems, anxiety, depression).
• Adolescent mental health: (such as PTSD, coping with an abusive / neglectful upbringing, self harm, depression, anxiety and relationship issues) and those young people who exhibit offending behaviour and present a risk to others e.g. through aggression.
• Adult mental health: (such as PTSD, mood disorders)
• Parenting: supporting parents to develop skills in parenting their children, developing parenting skills in the context of parental mental health difficulties and substance misuse.
