About me

I qualified as a doctor from Imperial College in London during which I completed a BSc (1st class honours) and was awarded a variety of distinctions and prizes. Over the course of my junior doctor training, I developed an interest in neurology and embarked on and completed a PhD in cerebrovascular disease. I trained in neurology at St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and was appointed a consultant neurologist at St George’s in 2012.

I have expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and management of all neurological conditions. My clinical interests reside in headache and cerebrovascular diseases. I am part of the tertiary headache and hyper-acute stroke services at St George’s Hospital. I offer a comprehensive service in the assessment, diagnosis and management of all types of headache, specifically chronic headaches and migraine. I am qualified to assess, diagnose and manage all types of stroke, TIA (mini-stroke), complications of stroke, and all other vascular conditions of the brain. I am also able to provide guidance on cardiovascular disease and stroke prevention. I am an authority on blood pressure-related small vessel disease and other types of small blood vessel diseases of the brain and vascular dementia. In addition, I have expertise in the neuro-rehabilitation of many neurological conditions and have previously worked at the Wolfson neuro-rehabilitation centre and now see patients at Ascot Rehab in Bagshot.
