I am a consultant psychiatrist with more than 20 years’ of clinical experience. I trained in London and received my PhD from University College London were I am an honorary senior lecturer. I use the skills and experience that I have gained to help my patients with cutting-edge, research based treatments to prevent, cure and treat mental health problems. The treatment and health promotion programmes that I have developed have already helped more than 20 000 people.
Depression and Anxiety
I realised that most people’s emotional health problems are caused or aggravated by strained family or professional relationships, and stresses in their home or work environment. Therefore, after I have helped you to start feeling better, I can also help you to identify and make the changes to your thinking, habits and environment to help reduce or eliminate the risk of future setbacks. Whilst many people simply try to get on with their lives, hoping for the best, I believe there is a better way. I therefore work closely with an exceptionally talented team of health professionals and life coaches to maximise your health and wellbeing in a genuine, and personal way. My treatment method is aimed at helping you to make a quick and lasting recovery so you can enjoy the health and wellbeing you deserve.
Cognitive Impairment and Dementia
If you are experiencing memory or other problems with your thinking, then I can help with investigating, diagnosing and treating these conditions. I offer a comprehensive dementia risk assessment and risk reduction plan that is aimed at preventing dementia for over 50s (Self Pay only). More than 300 people have already used this plan to help them adopt a lifestyle aimed at reducing the risk of dementia. For patients diagnosed with dementia, I offer the full range of outpatient based services and support for caregivers, with the assistance of our team of psychiatric nurses and psychologists.
Attention problems and ADHD
Attention and concentration problems are increasingly recognised in children and adults. I offer specialist assessments and neurofeedback training for attention problems. You can find out more at SmartStartMinds.co.uk
