About me

Mr Spencer Hodges holds an NHS consultant post at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London. He also sees patients privately in London and the South East, with clinics at the The Blackheath Hospital and Chelsfield Park Hospital.

Mr Hodges trained at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. After specialising in oral and maxillofacial surgery, he undertook further training during his fellowship in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Growing up in London, Spencer attended Guy’s & St Thomas’ Medical and Dental School, qualifying in 2000 with honours. Following qualification, he trained in surgery at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury; Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead; Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford; Brighton and Eastbourne Hospitals and King’s College Hospital, London.

He has trained under the leading experts in maxillofacial surgery in the country. After his specialist training, Mr Hodges undertook a Royal College of Surgeons approved fellowship in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, furthering his expertise in facial aesthetic procedures.
In 2011, he was appointed as consultant in oral & maxillofacial surgery at King’s College Hospital, a leading London teaching hospital.

Mr Hodges treats conditions affecting the mouth, jaes, face and neck. He has a special interest in the aesthetics of maxillofacial surgery, including correcting facial deformity and reconstructing faces following skin cancer removal and trauma to the face. He is a core member of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team at King’s College Hospital.

He has published on a wide range of areas within maxillofacial surgery, and regularly teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students and other medical professionals. He reviews scientific papers for the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Mr Hodges is a past chairman of the Bromley and Beckenham section of the British Dental Association.

Mr Hodges lives in South London with his wife and two children.
