About me

I have worked in the NHS as a consultant clinical neurophysiologist since 1994 with a base at the James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough since 1996.
Qualified M.B.,Ch.B from Birmingham Medical in 1979. M.R.C.P. 1986, CCST 1994 F.R.C.P 1999.
Training posts in general medicine, neurology (Midland Centre for Neurology) and Morriston Hospital, Swansea. Specialty training in Clinical Neurophysiology in Stoke on Trent, (now Royal Stoke University Hospital).
Consultant at Western General Hospital, Edinburgh 1994 to 1996.

Areas of interest

Peripheral nerve entrapment, e.g, carpal tunnel syndrome (median nerve compression), ulnar neuropathy, Fibular (peroneal) and sciatic neuropathy.
Brachial and lumbosacral plexopathy.
Cervical and lumbar radiculopathy.
Generalised neuropathy.
Myopathy.
