Mr Karri is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon who performs both reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery.
His expertise in reconstructive plastic surgery includes breast reconstruction, lymphoedema surgery, skin cancer, facial reconstruction and chronic wound management.
He was one of the first surgeons in the UK to have performed pioneering surgery for lymphoedema known as vascularised lymph node transfer. He has extensive experience in the surgical treatment of lipoedema and has treated patients from all over the world.
His expertise in cosmetic plastic surgery includes facelift, eyelid rejuvenation, breast cosmetic surgery, body contouring, fat grafting and scar revision. He is well known for performing facelift under local anaesthetic .
His personalised approach and attention to detail are central to the excellent outcomes he achieves.
Mr Karri graduated from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, London with Distinction Honours in Surgery. He completed his plastic surgery training on the London training programme.
Mr Karri is double-fellowship trained, having completed a Microsurgery Fellowship in Taiwan and the Dutch Association for Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship in The Netherlands.
During his microsurgery fellowship in Taiwan, Mr Karri gained extensive experience in complex microsurgical reconstruction and vascularised lymph node transfer for lymphoedema.
During his fellowship in the Netherlands he learned state-of-the-art techniques in facial rejuvenation, liposuction, fat grafting, breast cosmetic surgery and body contouring. He also gained experience in performing facial rejuvenation (facelift, mid-face lift, necklift, eyelid lift) under local anaesthetic, a popular option for many patients.
Before entering full time private practice, Mr Karri was a Consultant at Hull & East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Karri has written numerous scientific papers that have been published in peer-reviewed journals, written book chapters and co-wrote a book titled “Surgical treatment and algorithm for lymphedema”.
