About me

Mr Burston qualified from the University of Bristol in 2000 with Honours in Medicine and with a 1st class honours degree in Anatomical Sciences. He undertook his basic surgical training rotation in Oxford, before undertaking an invaluable year as an orthopaedic registrar in New Zealand, which saw him selected to return to Bristol for his 6-year higher surgical training rotation. Following becoming a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Mr Burston secured prestigious fellowships in Perth, Australia and at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
He took up his consultant post at the world renowned Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in January 2013.
Mr Burston is widely published in peer review journals, mainly in the field of hip replacement surgery. He enjoys teaching, serving as faculty on many national and international courses and has a Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Bristol.
