I have accumulated extensive experience and expertise in diagnosing and treating complex emotional and behavioural difficulties in young people. I have been working as Consultant with the NHS for approximately 7 years .
I have been actively doing research and teaching in Child Psychiatry and held Honorary Senior Lecturer post at University College of London. I am currently based in Cambridge and am the Lead for Academic Training for Higher Trainees in Child Psychiatry in the Eastern Region.
I have been trained in centre of excellence both in India (King George's Medical University, Lucknow) and UK (Cambridge) and have hence accumulated wide ranging and diverse experience.
I have an eclectic approach to therapy which is individualised based on an agreed formulation and understanding of the young person's needs. I use principles of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy , Systemic Therapy and Psychoanalytic Therapy in my work.
