I currently work within the NHS as an Extended Scope Practitioner in the Orthopaedic Triage Service, providing specialist assessment, investigation, advice and management of non-urgent orthopaedic (musculoskeletal, or bone and muscle) problems that may need surgery.
I’m registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) which protects the health and wellbeing of people who use the services of a registered health professional as well as The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists which is our professional governing body.
In addition to continuously building my knowledge through practice, I regularly attend training courses and study professional journals. This ensures I stay up to date with the latest methods and treatments. It is a requirement of the HCPC that all Podiatrists undertake annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain their registration. Because I also work within the NHS, I’m required to also meet their very high and exacting standard
