I have extensive clinical medical psychotherapy experience, having worked in the NHS for over 25 years, and as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychotherapy for 15 years. I trained in Psychiatry at the Maudsley and Bethlem Royal Hospitals; and in Psychotherapy at the Maudsley and Cassel Hospitals, and the Tavistock Clinic. My roles have also involved teaching and supervising psychotherapy.
Alongside my private practice I have most recently worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the Tavistock Clinic
Prior to this I was the Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychotherapy at St Thomas' Hospital for 15 years.
I qualified as a group analyst with the Institute of Group Analysis.

Earlier in my career I work on a research project
looking at the links between depression, life events and social support in both women and men.
Edited an edition of Group Analysis looking at the findings of the systematic review into the effectiveness of group psychotherapy and group analysis.
