About me

Dr Karp trained in Clinical Oncology at the Middlesex and Mount Vernon Hospitals. Dr Karp was appointed a Consultant in 1990. Initially practising in a wide range of tumour types he now specialises in treating cancers of the breast, GI tract (colo-rectal, oesophago-gastric, pancreatic) and urological cancer (prostate and bladder cancer) with chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological therapy and radiotherapy. Dr Karp led the Royal College of Radiologists COIN project which produced 6 national cancer guidelines including breast and prostate cancer. Dr Karp specialises in using radiotherapy treatments including Cyberknife, IMRT, IGRT, adaptive radiotherapy and Proton Beam Radiotherapy.
