I am a consultant dermatologist. Dermatologists are doctors who specialise in managing disorders of the skin, hair and nails. I have a special interest in paediatric dermatology (children with skin problems).
I am a full time NHS consultant, employed as lead dermatology consultant at Walsall Manor Hospital and as a consultant at The Birmingham Skin Centre. I am immediate past skin cancer lead for Walsall and a core member of the Walsall skin cancer MDT.
I also see private patients at Little Aston Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.
Having qualified from the University of Birmingham I trained within the West Midlands and live locally with my wife and three young children.

I am first author of an internationally best selling, award winning Dermatology textbook. I have written a highly regarded and top reviewed self-help book for children with eczema. I have published numerous articles in top peer-reviewed medical journals. I am co-author of the the cochrane review on melasma. Details are on my website.

I am experienced in giving lectures to General Practitioners in all common dermatological conditions seen in primary care. I am more than happy to give lectures at GP practices, without a fee. Please contact my secretary.

I perform skin surgery on between 5 and 10 patients a week and have done so for over 10 years. To date I have had no deaths or serious complications from my surgical practice. I have a number of audits showing a 99%+ complete excision rates for skin cancers. I audit my surgical practice every year.
