Mr Bridgens completed his general orthopaedic surgical training in Sheffield and undertook sub-specialist training in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt National Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry. He also spent 6 months gaining sub-specialist experience in adult and paediatric hand surgery at the Pulvertaft Hand Unit in Derby.
In the last year he has established a regional network for the Ponseti method of clubfoot treatment in Yorkshire to improve care for patients throughout the area.

Mr Bridgens is married with two daughters. He enjoys outdoor pursuits such as cycling, rock climbing and skiing. As a teenager he competed nationally in athletics and so understands the motivation and pressures on teenage sportspeople.

I have previously given lectures to GP's on paediatric orthopaedic conditions and am always happy to do this either for 'in house' CPD or on a larger scale.
