About us

Dr Miriam Silver, BSc, MSc, ClinPsyD is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with parents, children and families. She is Chair of the national network of Clinical Psychologists working with Looked After and Adopted Children and on the national committee for the Faculty for Children, Young People and their Families within the British Psychological Society. She has 17 years of experience in the NHS, leading a team within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. She has written a book called Attachment in Common Sense and Doodles, published by Jessica Kingsley Press.

Dr Silver has a particular interest in child development, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and learning disabilities, the impact of abuse and trauma, and children who grow up with carers other than their birth parents. She is a highly regarded expert witness for the Family Courts in relation to children's needs and parenting capacity.

Her team includes another qualified Clinical Psychologist, specialist therapists and an Assistant Psychologist.
