About me

Dr Mohamed Mehasseb graduated from Cairo University (Egypt) in 1997 and completed specialist training in Gynaecology in Egypt, the United Kingdom and France. He subsequently specialised in Gynaecological Oncology (Cancer). In the NHS, he was appointed as a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon and Oncologist, in Glasgow Royal Infirmary in 2012.
His training in different countries and settings provided him with a rich clinical, surgical and academic experience. He has a vast experience in managing different gynaecological problems especially pre-cancerous and cancer conditions.
His surgical expertise is wide and he has special interest in minimal access or key-hole surgery, using this technique to minimise the impact of surgery. He has lectured nationally and internationally on laparoscopic surgery and has run many training courses.
He has numerous publications and authored numerous book chapters. He has been awarded a number of educational, travel and research grants and awards. He has presented multiple abstracts, oral and poster presentations in different national and international scientific society meetings and conferences.
He is a member of a number of professional societies including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, British Gynaecological Cancer Society, British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, European Society of Gynaecological Oncology, and the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy
