About me

I have been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in the West Midlands since 1994 and have 34 years of experience in all aspects of ophthalmology.
I have two clinics a week solely devoted to paediatric ophthalmology and squints in both adults and children. I have performed over 3,000 operations for squint.
I was the first ophthalmic surgeon in UK to perform endoscopic DCR, a minimally invasive operation for watery eyes which does not leave a visible scar. I have performed several hundred of these.
I was born in Mauritius and won a scholarship to study medicine at Guy's Hospital, London. I spent 9 years in Oxford in ophthalmic research at the Nuffield Laboratory of Ophthalmoogy and also as a Clinical Lecturer.
