About me

I qualified from St George's Hospital Medical School, London in 1996. My training has been completed in the South of England with entry onto the Specialist Register for General Surgery in 2010.

Since 2011 I have been a General and Colorectal Surgeon at Worthing Hospital (Western Sussex NHS Foundation Trust) with a special interest in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, particularly for patients with colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease.

I offer the full range of treatment for haemorrhoids (piles) and all other perianal problems.

I have a special interest in the prevention and management of surgical site infections, on which I have lectured Nationally and Internationally. I am an expert advisor for a NICE Medtech Innovation Briefing on the use of negative pressure to prevent wound infections.

Despite the limited surgical options for pelvic floor problems (faecal incontinence), this along with functional bowel disease, is also a special interest.
