About me

Dr Khan is a Consultant Neurologist at Maidstone Hospital in Kent.

Dr Khan qualified from Cambridge University and for specialist training rotated through the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London and King's College Hospital. She was awarded a PhD for research on Parkinson's disease, at the Institute of Neurology, University College London and then completed a post training Clinical Fellowship in Parkinson’s disease and Movement disorders at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London.

Dr Khan has expertise in all areas of neurology including headache, migraine, epilepsy, dementia and acute neurology. She reviews complex neurology requiring a second opinion.

Her specialist expertise lies in Parkinson's disease, and PSP, MSA and other causes of tremor and the hereditary and acquired dystonias, chorea and ataxias. Dr Khan also heads a botulinum toxin service (cervical dystonia, hemi-facial spasm and salivary pooling) and is currently the chair of the South East Movement disorders and Parkison’s disease forum.

Dr Khan has a number of publications in scientific medical journals and continues to write and edit textbooks and scientific articles and lectures both regionally and internationally.
