About me

As a Counselling Psychologist I am trained to work in several approaches including; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy (BSFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Compassion Focused Therapy, working with trauma and PTSD using the core conditions of Person Centred Therapy

I work both long and short term. I work with adolescents and adults up to any age. I also work with couples (although not during the COVID:19 lockdown)

Currently I am working from home and am offering telephone counselling - possibly extending to zoom when I have adequate internet reception weeks (24.04.2020)

Areas of interest

I work with young people from the age of 16 (with parental consent) and adults up to any age. My approaches include; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy, Compssion Focused Therapy, Trauma and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have 22 years of experience working with issues including; abuse, anger and/or anxiety management, trauma, relationships and bereavement.

I am retiring from my role as Head of Counselling at the Andover Crisis and Support Centre after 23 years and plan to strait my own private practice in January 2022 when I will add my profile to the BACP and Counselling Directory websites.
