About me

Having qualified from the University of Nottingham, Miss Katy Ammar trained in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in various teaching hospitals including, Queen's Medical Centre, Birmingham Women's Hospital and Guy's & St Thomas. She completed her Specialist training from the Wessex Deanery. Therafter she was appointed as a Consultant Gynaecologist in Benenden Hospital, a well known centre for advanced Laparoscopic, Vaginal and Urogynaecological surgery. In 2009 she joined Epsom &St Helier University Hospital Trust.

All General Gynaecological conditions including abnormal vaginal bleeding (heavy, painful, irregular periods, post-menopausal bleeding), endomertiosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome PCOS, uterine - vaginal prolapse, fibroids, pelvic pain, pelvic infections, urinary symptoms, Benign vulval lesions.,benign ovarian cysts, adolescent gynae problems, HRT, HRT implants, early pregnancy problems and loss, ectopic pregnancy.
Minimal access surgery (keyhole); laprascopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Endometrial ablation, Novasure, Vaginal surgery for prolapse, Hysterectomy.
