Having completed my general surgery training in London, I underwent specialist training in renal transplantation and laparoscopic renal/adrenal surgery at Guys and the Royal Free hospitals.
I am now a consultant transplant and endocrine surgeon at the Royal Free with a particular interest in adrenal and retroperitoneal tumours.
My main clinical interest is the improvement of patient recovery after major surgery (“enhanced recovery programme”).

My main research interest involves ischaemia-reperfusion injury after transplantation, and I was awarded an M.D. by the University of Leeds for laboratory work involving cultures of liver endothelial cells.
