My name is Orazio Giuffrida. I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist.
I graduated in Clinical Psychology in 1998, I obtained a PhD in Cognitive Psychology in 2005, a Statement of Equivalence in Clinical Psychology in 2007 and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology in 2011.
During my career I often alternated between Clinical positions and Academic roles. Clinically, I have worked in 13 different NHS hospitals in the UK and overseas; as well as in private Psychiatric Hospitals.
Areas of interest
I work with a wide range of presentations involving organic conditions (e.g. Alzheimer, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Brain Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson Disease) including neuropsychological assessments for differential diagnosis and post-diagnostic interventions.
From a functional point of view I work with a wide range of issues (e.g. Depression, Low Self esteem, Anxiety, Phobias, Schizophrenia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Grieving, Personality Disorders, and Conversion Disorder).
