Qualifications and Clinical Experience
Over 25 years experience working in various clinical settings, with clients of all ages and sexualities, from diverse backgrounds and cultures, helping many overcome a wide range of mental health difficulties and life problems.
Trained as a psychotherapist in the early 90′s at the Centre for Freudian Analysis & Research in London, qualifying as a Lacanian Analyst and registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. Also since 1994 Accredited Practitioner with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, in 2001 as Senior Accredited Practitioner. Also registered member of the British Association of Psychoanalytic & Psychodynamic Supervision and as well as being appointed a governor with the College of Psychoanalysts UK.
My first degree is in Psychology, after completing my clinical training in psychoanalysis I went on to complete a Masters qualification in Psychoanalysis at Middlesex University. For the past 12 years I have been an Associate Editor for the Journal for the Centre for Freudian Analysis & Research
In addition I am the Clinical Director and founder of the Worcester Therapy Group, which currently has 18 Associate Therapists. If my skills are not appropriate I can refer with confidence to one of my colleagues at the practice I run. I also lecture two day a week at Coventry University in the Clinical Psychology Department.
I have experience of producing psychological reports for court settings or health care providers, considering risk assessment issues, along with attendance at court as an expert witness
