About me
Qualifications and Clinical Experience
Nearly 30 years experience working in various clinical settings, with clients of all ages and sexualities, from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Trained as a Psychoanalyst in the early 90′s at the Centre for Freudian Analysis & Research in London, qualifying as a Lacanian Analyst and registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. Also since 1994 Accredited Practitioner with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, then in 2001 as Senior Accredited Practitioner. Registered member of the British Association of Psychoanalytic & Psychodynamic Supervision and as well as a Governor with the College of Psychoanalysts UK.
First degree is in Psychology. After completing my clinical training I completed an MA in Psychoanalysis at Middlesex University. For the past 20 years I have been an Associate Editor for Journal for the Centre for Freudian Analysis & Research.
In 2004 I founded the Worcester Therapy Group which has 18 Associate Therapists attached to the practice. If my expertise is not appropriate I can refer with confidence to one of my colleagues at the practice I head. I also lecture two days a week at Coventry University in the Clinical Psychology Department.
I am experienced in producing psychological reports for court settings and/or health care providers, evaluating risk assessment issues along with a capacity to attend court as an expert witness
