Mr Jah is a Consultant HPB and Transplant Surgeon at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. He is the Clinical Lead of the Department of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery which is a designated tertiary referral centre for pancreatic and liver surgery. He is also an Associate Lecturer at University of Cambridge and the Royal College Surgical Tutor.
Mr Jah performs major pancreatic and liver resections and organ transplantation and also leads the tertiary referral service for management of complex pancreatitis, including key hole surgery for acute pancreatitis.
He also leads the day-case laparoscopic cholecystectomy service offered by the HPB Unit and have a special interest in management of complex gall stone disease including stones in the gall bladder, bile duct and liver. Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery of gall bladder, liver and pancreas is one of his main clinical interests.

Gall bladder and gall stone-related surgery; Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (key-hole removal of gall bladder); Pancreatic surgery - including pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis; Biliary surgery - bile duct stones, biliary reconstruction, bile duct exploration; Liver surgery - including liver cancer and metastases; Laparoscopic (key hole) liver, pancreatic and biliary surgery; Organ transplantation- liver, kidney, pancreas.
In general surgery, I carry out Hernia repair including groin hernias - inguinal and femoral; Abdominal wall hernias such as umbilical and incisional hernias
