About me

My military training exposed me to many traumatic injuries in peace-time scenarios as well as ‘active’ areas such as Northern Ireland and the First Gulf War. I have always had an interest in the management of traumatic and elective conditions in the upper limb and now my current workload is exclusively in the management of such conditions with a particular interest in the hand and wrist.

I have attended many wrist conferences and have had the privilege of some personal study with Richard Berger, Jorge Orbay and more recently with David Nelson in San Francisco. I have recently chaired a collaborative committee of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand to produce best practice guidelines on the management of distal radial fractures http://www.boa.ac.uk/publications/guidance-documents/#toggle-id-5
