About me
I am a Consultant Nephrologist and Physician. I am consulted by patients with a wide variety of general medical and renal problems and also in cases where the specialty is unclear.
I have a specialist interest in patients who make recurrent kidney stones. I used medical tests to find out why patients form stones and then use preventative treatments. My PhD research focused on the mechanisms of formation of calcium renal stones, and I am a clinical researcher in renal stone conditions at the Royal Free Hospital. I specialise in the diagnosis and management of rarer stone-forming conditions.
I also have a specialist practice in renal complications related to Fabry Disease, and perform diagnostic percutaneous renal biopsies.
Areas of interest
Kidney stones; Metabolic evaluation and prevention of recurrent kidney/renal stones; Electrolyte disorders; General nephrology; Hypertension; Fabry kidney disease; Day-case diagnostic percutaneous renal biopsy
