Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon
Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
Research interests
I obtained a research fellowship from Arthritis Research UK and the Royal College for Surgeons of England to investigate the causes of osteoarthritis in a leading UK laboratory. This work has helped our understanding of osteoarthritis, the leading cause for hip and knee replacements. I continue my interest in the causes and treatment of osteoarthritis at both the molecular biological and surgical level.
I have also published research on the management of fractures around hip replacements.
Personal interests
In my spare time I enjoy trying to keep fit by running and cycling. I have an interest in classic cars and enjoy going on rallies and similar motoring events in my classic car. I also enjoy going clay pigeon shooting with my boys.
