Dr Sylvie Flais qualified in France in 1994 and specialised in imaging in oncology between 1994 and 1996 at the Institut Gustave Roussy in Villejuif. After practising a few years in France, she moved to the UK for family reasons.
She was appointed as a substantive consultant at Ealing Hospital in 2006 (where she had been the lead for breast imaging since 2004) after working there part time as a locum consultant between 2001 and 2006. She was appointed at Charing Cross hospital in 2007. She works part time at Charing Cross Hospital in the screening and symptomatic services.
She is a fellow of the Royal College of Radiology and a member of the British Society of Breast Radiology.
