About me

I am a Consultant General, Colorectal and Laparoscopic Surgeon. I work in the NHS at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and practice privately at Spire Parkway Hospital, Solihull.

I am the Trust Lead for Colorectal Cancer and sit on the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland Council.

Outside of work I enjoy supporting Somerset County Cricket Club, cooking, and spending time with my two children.

Areas of interest

Specialist interests in the use of laparoscopic surgery to treat colorectal conditions, including cancer and inflammatory bowel disease.

Multi-disciplinary management of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, including rectal prolapse, obstructive defaecation and rectocele.

Treatments for benign anorectal conditions, including anal fissure, anal fistula and pilonidal sinus. Modern surgical management techniques for the treatment of piles, including stapled haemorrhoidectomy (PPH) and THD (haemorrhoidal artery ligation).

Colonoscopy (JAG-accredited).

Surgery for a full range of general surgery conditions, including hernias (inguinal, umbilical, epigastric, incisional, parastomal), which are treated laparoscopically where appropriate, and the removal of lumps and bumps.
