Mahantesh Karoshi is Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Barnet Hospital of Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust, London. He is a surgeon, author of scientific articles and has co-edited five stand alone textbooks.
His areas of expertise in Gynaecology are, heavy menstrual bleeding, subfertility, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) issues, chronic vaginal discharge, genital prolapse, polycystic ovarian disease (PCOS), ovarian cysts, fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, uterine polyps, Bartholin’s cysts, heavy periods, vaginal atrophy, pelvic pain, preconceptional counselling and advanced laparoscopic & hysteroscopic surgery
He works along with team of professionals both in the NHS and Private sector to provide the best possible clinical outcomes to his patients. He takes his patients through a journey and works along with them, so that; the best outcome is achieved with their understanding and participation in their unique clinical situation.
Karoshi’s most important contribution to the field being taking the editor’s role as a Registrar working along with Professors B-Lynch and Louis Keith to publish the first stand-alone textbook on Postpartum Haemorrhage. Knowing how important this book will play its role worldwide, HRH Princess Anne launched it in London in 2006.
In 2010, Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, London awarded him the prestigious Bernhard Baron Travelling Fellowship. This gave him the opportunity to work in University of Buenos Aires. The European Academy of Gynaecological Surgery, Leuven, Belgium, has awarded Karoshi with Gynaecological Endoscopist Certificate.
Previously (2001-2005), Karoshi has worked as Clinical Research Fellow in Reproductive Medicine and Fertility Unit where he gained expertise in follicular tracking, ovulation induction, formulating management plans and intrauterine inseminations.
