About me

Mr Ahmed Raafat started his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1997 (20 y) in a teaching hospital in Cairo Egypt.

He started his career in the UK in 2003 and undertook training in London deanery. In the last 3 years of his training, besides general Obstetrics and Gynaecology training, he received advanced training in Minimal access surgery.

He runs a colposcopy service in the NHS and is core member of the Gynae oncology team in his trust, running rapid access clinics and regularly performing advanced Gynaecological surgery

He introduced Advanced laparoscopic surgery and Robotic Gynaecological surgery to his Gynaecology department at Wexham park hospital in 2012 and he offers Robotic surgery for selected cases.

He provides Antenatal care and Obstetric services in his NHS practice.

Mr Raafat is keen on providing his patients with up to date information about their presenting problem and the options available for treatment. The patient will always be able to reach a fully informed decision about managing their condition. He values the importance of being there for my patients postoperative and will always organise appropriate follow ups.
