I am a cardiologist in a busy district general hospital. I see patients with general cardiological problems and my subspecialty areas are heart failure/ complex device therapy; cardiovascular screening/ CT angiography; the management of patients with cardiomyopathy/adult congenital cardiac disease. I also perform transthoracic and trans oesophageal echocardiography.

I have been a consultant cardiologist at Wrexham Maelor Hospital since 2009. Prior to this I trained in general internal medicine and cardiology at the London Heart and University College London Hospital’s and my sub-specialty training was completed at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Bristol Children’s Hospital. I also spent an additional three years of MD research at St. George’s University Hospital Medical School and University College London.
I have a large research background and a significant body of published work and I continue to publish regularly in well known journals, see CV. My research often involves collaboration with other hospitals and research bodies. I lecture on a regular basis both at national and international levels and I continue to do this.
Out of work most of my time is spent with my family, i love walking and whenever possible surfing with the kids.
